The Southern Outdoorsmen Podcast is a show dedicated to all things deer hunting & turkey hunting related in the South. In the fall we dive deep into public land and high pressure deer hunting tactics across that relate to the Southern hunter. Both Andrew Maxwell & Jacob Myers are both die hard public land deer hunters and regularly feature well informed guests who have had consistent success in taking mature deer on public land. In the spring the focus shifts to turkey hunting tactics. Both hosts are die hard turkey hunters as well, chasing public land gobblers in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and many more states. Spring episodes typically cover proven turkey hunting tactics with proven turkey hunters, as well as a weekly strut report. The strut report features several guests each week from across the South giving updates on the turkeys in their area, as well as sharing what tactics have been working for them.
